Everyone is so welcoming!

It has been an honour spending my summer interning at DSTI. The working environment was so welcoming and everyone there is always ready to help. During my time there I worked with the education team mainly on the machine learning and data science  projects. I am so grateful for this opportunity because working at DSTI has given me the chance  to apply the skills acquired at university in the real life projects.

Workspace is really great

The workspace is really great and the vibe just breeds creativity. You’re knee-deep in work from the very first day. It’s not easy, but it’s exciting! I mean… who doesn’t love a challenge? It’s even more exciting when u realise how much of a difference you can make when you push through and do something great that positively impacts the lives of the people who need it the most. Need help? Everyone’s always willing to help. Ask as many questions as you can. No one runs out of patience here, and that’s the #dstiway!

Best Internship

Working at the DSTI has been the best internship experience I have ever had. One of the greatest things about working at DSTI was the creative freedom I was given to come up with solutions to problems. And you’re not just the typical intern solving arbitrary problems; rather, you are given important tasks that have the potential to improve millions of lives across Sierra Leone. It was a truly incredible experience that made me a better scientist.
