Project Objective: Primero is an open-source software that helps protection partners securely collect, store, manage and share data for protection related case management and incident monitoring. It is flexible and customizable and can fit a broad range of protection programming including violence, social welfare programmes, health and other emergencies. This project will provide “THE” tool and database for reporting, monitoring and referring off all CP and GBV incidences and cases in Sierra Leone.  

 Partners: DSTI, UNICEF, MoGCA, MoSW, Judiciary, Police, NGOs & INGOs with focus on Gender Based Violence and Child Protection  

 Impact/status to date: 

20280 plus cases have been registered to date 

6082 plus cases with referrals for services 

165 plus accepted transfers to other NGOs or INGOs and 30 Pending 

Launch of the CPIMS and GBVIMS Modules 

Training of 100+ social worker from government and NGOs nationwide at regional workshops held in Freetown, Bo and Makeni. 

Review and adaptation of GBVIMS forms by social workers from government and NGOs.  

Primero is a protection-related Information Management System. It is an open-source software application that helps protection partners securely collect, store, manage, and share data for protection related case management and incident monitoring. Its support referral and provision of relevant services is paramount for the adequate protection of children in Sierra Leone. Target Beneficiaries are Children at risk, and abused individuals.
