DATA SCIENTIST
Mohamed James received his Bachelor’s in computer science (BSc. Honors) at Njala University. As a data scientist within DSTI, Mohamed’s favorite activity is engaging with experts, citizens and other technical staff to build and deploy systems.
He recently worked as a software developer with eHealth Africa (2016-2018) building stronger health systems through the design and implementation of data-driven solutions that respond to local needs. Prior to that, Mohamed worked for a telecoms company and the state broadcasting institution. He has built and deployed cross platform end-to-end systems in various sectors with functional experiences in cloud infrastructure development and management. Mohamed is also a member of the Sierra Leone’s Scientific and Technical Advisory Group for Emergencies (STAGE) and Sierra Leone Film Council and the current chairman for the Bo District Film Union, Sierra Leone.
