Kumba Liliana Musa

Kumba works as a Data Scientist at the Directorate of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI). She holds a bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Fourah Bay College and a Masters of Science in Information Technology and International Business (with distinction) from Dundee University, United Kingdom.

She previously worked for Dedicated National Security Information System under the Ministry of Information and Communication as the Network Manager where she was responsible for the planning, engineering, installation and maintenance of the core systems of the network.

Kumba is the Founder and Executive Director of the NGO STEM Women SL – an organization working to improve STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education in Sierra Leone and increase the percentage and participation of women in STEM fields.

She is also the CEO and Fashion Designer of her clothing line KUMBA. She specializes in combining African fabric with Western fabric to designs clothes that are sophisticated, luxurious and chic for all occasions.

Kumba is a Queen’s Young Leader, One Young World Ambassador, Chevening alumna and a TechWomen alumna.
