Description:
As a Junior Product Manager, you are the bridge between understanding business requirements (that is representing both the business interests and the end-user in the development of digital product), UI/UX design and software engineering, a crucial role. You are curious, learning current trends in software development and becoming better in representing the end-user and business during the conceptualization, development, and implementation of a digital product. We sit at the centre of business requirements, design, and software engineering to create digital products that work and are user-friendly. Responsibilities:
- Support Project initiation
- Assist in gathering and refining business, data, and system requirements from business users, end-users and documenting those requirements in collaboration with developers and business analysts
- Support product manager in gathering information for the development of new product strategies
- Able to analyse issues/requirements and discussing with lead team members to assist in decision making process
- Support the development and documentation of product specification
- Assist product manager to gather information needed to define the various type of requirements (end user, business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements etc.)
- Support the conceptualization and development of use case diagrams
- Assist in the conceptualization, development and documentation of user stories with associated acceptance criteria from use case diagrams
- Work with product manager to develop test plans and support the testing of new products using Azure testing tool kit
- Support and assist the design activities of new and existing products
- Lead the conceptualization and design of new user interfaces and user experience. This includes the development and documentation of sitemaps, information architecture, information assets, mock-ups and prototypes
- Ensures that mock-ups and prototypes are tested, and feedback gathered and implemented
- Support the UI/UX improvement of existing products
- In collaboration with product manager, developers and business analysts, the junior product manager will design and implement user studies when required
- Support the identification and documentation of usability issues and provide recommendation for improvement
- Creates and/ or modifies products to adapt to changes in needs and requirements, with supervision.
- Works closely with end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
- Support the product rollout activities
- Support the conceptualization and development of rollout plans
- In collaboration with developers, businesses analysts and team lead support product rollout activities
- Collaborates with product owners, team leads and other software developers
- Participates in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies
Working Hours:
The Junior Product Manager will work a 35-hour working week full-time pattern. You will be expected to compete a timesheet to maintain a record of days’ work.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in Software Development or an equivalent of education and experience
- Familiarity with at least three UI/UX tools is required
- Basic knowledge of software development life cycle (e.g. requirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation) and execution models (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Iterative Development, etc.)
- Basic understanding of databases, including SQL
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps is required
- Basic understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Basic understanding of using data to drive decisions and data visualization
- Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
- Unit test and debugging skills
- Understanding of code versioning tools (Git) is a plus
- Fluent in English
