Description:

The Business Analyst will work on the projects and will be responsible for producing quality business requirements and functional requirement documents for each project. He/she will primarily work with the 3 different project management teams to prioritise deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities. The analyst will direct and coordinate the research teams for each respective project to support them to produce the business requirement and functional requirement documents. They must understand development processes, software development life cycle (SDLC) and must be very analytical with good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues. In addition, they are responsible for creating, maintaining, and prioritising the product backlog, and for ensuring that the project management teams, development teams and all key stakeholders are well informed as to the priorities and progress of the sprint. They must be proactive, should be able to communicate with both business and technical stakeholders, and must be able to solve problems while under pressure.

Responsibilities  

  1. Lead and Direct the Project initiation Activities
  • Take leadership and responsible for gathering and refining of business, data, and system requirements from MDAs, end-users and documenting those requirements and suggested solutions in collaboration with developers and project managers
  • Support project managers in gathering and analysing information for the development of product road maps and product strategies
  • Responsible for designing and developing “As is” and “To Be” business process maps and clearly document end-user needs and requirements.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with stakeholders  and clients.
  1. Lead the Development and Documentation of Product Specifications
  • Responsible for defined MDAs needs and developing product measurement metrics to measure the impact of the proposed solution on the business.
  • Responsible for expressing product requirements, this includes expressing requirements in the form of user stories, workflow diagrams, use case and use case diagrams. expression techniques.
  • Assist product managers to develop test plans and test developed product features
  1. Provide for Product Management Activities
  • Assist UI/UXer to evaluate and gather feedback on designed UI and UX assets and documentation to ensure that end-users needs are met and addressed as required.
  • Support the QA team with test cases and testing.
  • Lead and manage the UAT process.
  • Assist with Training and User documentation and system implementation.
  1. Responsible for the Development of the Following Technical Documentation
  • The business analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of product business cases. This document includes:
  • An agreed in scope and out of scope items for the product
  • Clear and measurable business goals for the product objectives.
  1. Support products rollout activities
  • In collaboration with project managers and team leads support the conceptualisation and development of product rollout activities
  • Collaborate with project owners, team leads and other software developers participates in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or proven work experience as a business analyst or similar role
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Experience working in the public sector advantageous
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
