As part of our drive to enlist young people as robust engineers of social change, we propose an essay writing contest for primary, and secondary students that will afford young writers a medium to address controversial, and pertinent social topics bordering along any of DSTI’s human capital interventions or projects, and how these interventions or projects can be augmented for optimal outcomes.
In addition to the opportunities for exposure and recognition, the students get to have the invaluable experience of knowledge sharing while enhancing their social and emotional learning.
All submissions will be assessed and graded on pre-defined parameters. The top (6) essays will be presented in and judged by a panel comprising partners from the public and private sector, civil society organisations, and other key stakeholders.
